This report stems from the 2007 Victimization Survey which was focused on intimate partner violence. This kind of victimization occurs in dating relationships and cohabitation as well as in marriages. Although intimate partner violence has a long history in this country and has garnered considerable attention nationally, this effort focuses specifically on Texas residents.
